In the midst of Dartmouth’s lively campus sits Anonymous Hall, previously known as Dana Hall and the college’s biomedical library. This renovation brought new life to the building which had sat vacant since 2012. Students and faculty are able to enjoy a small café, student lounge, seminar space, computer lab, three conference rooms and 32 new offices. Three-quarters of Anonymous Hall’s existing reinforced concrete frame remained, while the exterior of the building was updated with a new curtainwall as well as terra cotta and metal panels. The project involved significant site work, including a new parking lot. A new entrance to the building and a 100-foot elevated pedestrian bridge were also constructed, as well as a small below-grade addition to the adjacent Remsen Hall. The construction phase navigated the tight project site while demonstrating heightened sensitivity to the surrounding academic spaces on the occupied campus.

The project is LEED®-Gold certified.
