More than adding 260-beds, with careful siting Marblehead Hall creates a true residential quad on Endicott’s campus. Located on a slope, the site for this 64,000 square-foot residence hall introduced structural challenges that were proactively addressed during early collaboration with key partners in a design/build approach. Constructed in two wings that are joined in an “L-shape,” the placement of Marblehead Hall encloses a significant outdoor space enjoyed by Endicott’s students.
The brick and stucco construction of the building blends with the architectural style across Endicott’s campus. Unique characteristics and highly-sought amenities, such as collaborative spaces on every floor; fitness areas; study rooms; lounge areas; and sustainable elements all tempered by abundant natural light and a palette of inviting interior colors and textures were incorporated into the design of Marblehead Hall.
