The NICU and maternity wards at St. Boniface Hospital in Fonds-des-Blancs, Haiti received a special delivery of knitted baby hats and many other needed supplies thanks to our own Stuart Meurer, Windover‘s Executive Vice President & COO, and his son Sam. Windover’s “Mindful Knitting” group contributed 25 handmade hats.
“It’s amazing to see how something so small can brighten up the spirits of someone worrying about so much,” Stuart wrote yesterday in an email to Windover’s team. “Although I couldn’t communicate via Creole to the woman I met in the photo, she definitely communicated her appreciation to me with her eyes and a big, long lasting smile. I wish you all could have shared her expression with me.”
Stuart and his son are currently in Haiti over the February school break to help Build Health International with the construction of a new surgical building at St. Boniface Hospital.
