People Spotlight: Meet Cheryl Richardson

Each quarter, we spotlight employees who live out our core values every day. In this quarter’s people spotlight, we are highlighting Estimating Coordinator Cheryl Richardson!

Cheryl joined Windover in 2021 and has showcased a wealth of knowledge, genuine kindness, and willingness to help wherever needed. She acts with a long-term view, consistently going above and beyond to improve our preconstruction process. The perfect example, as one teammate shares: “On top of her daily responsibilities, Cheryl has been striving to make our trade partner database better by implementing continuous improvements.” Another teammate shared, “She is always the first person to offer to lend a helping hand with anything that is going on, not only in estimating, but the company as a whole.”

We asked Cheryl to share a few things about herself and her time at Windover:

What is your favorite thing about working at Windover?
My favorite thing about Windover is its people. Everyone is so caring, supportive, and willing to share their knowledge and expertise.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Connecting and developing relationships with our trade partners throughout the bidding process. It’s also exciting to be assigned a new project and have the chance to dig through drawings, identify scope, and answer questions. It makes me feel like a detective!

What is your favorite part about working with your team?
We all lift each other up. Everyone works hard, has fun, and wants to see their teammates succeed.

What is your current favorite thing to do in your free time?
My favorite thing to do outside of work is spend time with my family.

If you were building your dream home, what would it include?
My dream house would include a bar/game room and a separate playroom for the kids!

What is your favorite way to get involved with the community?
Over the summer I was fortunate to help coordinate a donation of backpacks and school supplies to Beverly Bootstraps through Windover’s Social Sustainability Committee. But I have to say my favorite activity is Momball – a softball tournament among moms of students at public and private schools in Beverly. The tournament raises funds for Beverly schools, provides thousands of pounds of donations to Beverly Bootstraps each year, and leads to forever friendships. This was my first year playing (I’ve never played softball before in my life!), and it was an amazing, unforgettable experience.
