This project is an 18,000 square-foot renovation of the school’s historic Clay House residence hall. Following a fast-track three month schedule, our team started on the exterior of the building with an extensive window and roof replacement scope. Great care was taken to source materials that are historically accurate to preserve the building’s period detail.
Revitalized Living Inside and Out
Clay’s interior underwent a renovation that spans all three floors and reaches into every building corner, including extensive MEP code upgrades within its walls. The renovations have created revitalized living quarters for Middlesex’s students and faculty. Initial site work began over the school’s spring break to minimize impact to the school with the balance of the project mobilizing in June 2015. All work was completed in time for the arrival of students and faculty for the fall semester.
